DJ Jinwook, who has piled a successful career as fashion model, jumped into electronic music scene by chance. He quit working as model in 1998, and then started Djing for pleasure while he was a businessman being employed by an advertising agency.
One day of autumn in 1999, at a club he went frequently, he DJed instead of a missing resident DJ. As he got hot reaction from the clubbers that day, he got to debut as professional club DJ. Since then DJ Jinwook began to spend his busy days spinning at popular clubs like Matmata, M2, W Hotel Seoul, at opening stages of world class DJs such as BT(USA), Derrick Carter(USA), Dimitri from Paris(France), at parties of international brands,
for example, Diesel, Gucci, Audi, Kenzo, Elle, Marie Claire, Bazzar, Vogue. Now he is getting more attention not only as the most stylish DJ, but also as the most powerful promoter in Korea. He participated in the Korea-Japan united compilation album ¡®Eastronika episode 1 - on October 2005, and after when he was invited as guest DJ to the 10th anniversary party of Flower Record in Japan on January 2006, related staff and Japanese clubbers were surprised by his tremendous spinning skills. On March 2006, a single LP that he had directed in cooperation with DJ JINU (of Roller Coaster) was released in Japan. Also, on May 2006, he played at Eastronika Japan release party in Osaka and Tokyo. On May 2006, he released his first mix album as ®Eastronika episode 3 - DJ Jinwook Live Mix. He also was invited as guest DJ to the ®Dolce&Gabanna - opening show at Shanghai in China on October 2006. DJ Jinwook is currently resident DJ in soulsome Bar.
