Producer, musician, composer, remixer & DJ – Rasmus Faber has many strings to his bow. Following on from his early years, in which Rasmus mastered the skills of the jazz piano, he later became an integral session member for the likes of SUMO & Marcus Enochson where he fell in love with the production of music.

His debut release was courtesy of UK label Black Vinyl back in 2002, the inspirational ‘Never Felt So Fly’ captured many peoples hearts, bringing together the warming soulful tones of fellow Swede Melo, with the sweet musicianship & guile that Rasmus incorporates into his sound – it was a marriage made in heaven.

Rasmus later went on to remix E-Smoove’s ‘Insatiable’ for Multiply in the UK – adding a much needed soulful-latin vibe to this originally heavy tribal track, opened up the door to a whole new audience, it went on to receive great accolades from some of the scenes leading players – people were starting to notice this talented youngster.

After a succession of releases again collaborating with Melo on US label Sub Urban, Rasmus was soon hunted down by Defected chief Simon Dunmore, and was asked to remix a forthcoming Dubtribe Sound System release – ‘Autosoul’. Simon was so pleased with the work Rasmus delivered he quickly snapped up this unquestionable talent offering a management & label deal - Farplane Records was born. Soon after he got to rework Junior Jack’s ‘E-Samba’. Recording new vocals & completely reinventing the original, Rasmus remix went on to be played throughout the summer by the likes of Morillo, Tappert, Sanchez & Morales.

‘Ever After’ was Farplane Records’ debut release, helped with vocalist Emily McEwan. This much needed live instrumental fused soulful music brought quality in abundance to the scene, and if people still hadn’t had the pleasure of hearing the musical talents of RaFa, they certainly would have by now, as the track went on to become a major hit!

After a faultless line of equally successful releases (such as ’Divided/United’ and the Axwell remixed ‘Get Over Here’), Rasmus remains highly active in the studio, being asked to work with labels including Defected, King St, Salted, Code Red, Seasons, Shifted Music, Soulfuric, Knee Deep, Soundmen on Wax & Nero Records. His endless talents & ambitious attitude have taken him across the globe – both in his productions, and for his live and DJ performances. Completing remixes for such artists as Miguel Migs, Jay-J, Axwell, Sandy Rivera, Kenny Bobien, Oreja, and Reel People only cement the fact that this talented Swede is definitely much in demand, and at the peak of his game.

Recent years, Rasmus has further extended his working field, taking Asia by storm. His presence in Japan is stronger than ever, after a string of chart topping albums and singles releases. Combining the musical aspects of his productions via his live keyboard work over his DJ sets have already been doing the damage on the dancefloor. With various singles & remixes lined up for all the key labels, and new exciting musical projects set to drop in the near future, it seems world domination is in clear sight!
