Apotek Records is born! This new label is the love child of the renowned Producer and DJ Jerome Sydenham also know for his flagship label Ibadan Records. Continuing from the existing legacy of the classic Ibadan Ten Inch series, which included monumental tunes like Timbuktu (Ibadan) and Sandcastles (Ibadan/Defected), Apotek was created to push the boundaries of the Techno genre. This first release from Apotek Records shows Sydenham's consistent commitment to quality material as also evident in the multiple classic releases from Ibadan Records.

On this occasion, Sydenham has hooked up with Japanese Producer Hideo Kobayashi leading to the formation of their new techno duo "Nagano Kitchen" and here delivering their first single "Asama". This innovative techno delight, currently only in the hands of a select group of international DJs, is already causing chaos in some of the best rooms in the world; Berghain (Berlin), Cocoon (Frankfurt), Space Lab Yellow (Tokyo), Womb (Tokyo), Fabric (London) etc.

Moreover, Sydenham & Kobayashi have produced an entire album of deep techno material. Combined with Sydenham just completing remixes of tracks by Argy, Len Faki, and Faze Action it seems that Apotek Records is bound to be a firm competitor in the techno arena.
